Science is awesome and fun and there are so many cool things to get excited about. But don't take our word for it. We asked some experts to tell us what they think is cool about science and clean energy:
- Bernie Hobbs is an award-winning science writer and broadcaster with the ABC. Bernie's background is in medical science and teaching and she can be regularly heard discussing science on the ABC and having way too much fun with science on ABC's kids show the experiMENTALS.
- Dr Geoff Garrett is Queensland's Chief Scientist. He provides advice to the Premier of Queensland about science, research and innovation. He has been a leading scientist for many years both in Australia and South Africa and but also likes fishing, tennis and boxing!
- Dr Geoff James is Principal Research Scientist at the CSIRO. Geoff became a scientist to understand new things and engage with society. He is working out how to use lots of renewable energy sources in the Australian electricity grid.
We asked Australian students to make a video or convince us in writing about their BIG ideas for a sustainable energy future.
Check out the fantastic videos we received, all about sustainable energy solutions!
