Battery power
Batteries are great - until they run out!
Not only do they stop running our game or toy, but they are a big problem to dispose off because they contain nasty chemicals.
Sony has recently revealed a battery that was inspired by termite ants. It turns paper into sugar, just like termite ants do when they eat wood.
Not only does this cleverly use a renewable source of energy, it puts all of that scrap paper to good use.
We asked Australian students to make a video or convince us in writing about their BIG ideas for a sustainable energy future.
Check out the fantastic videos we received, all about sustainable energy solutions!
